About this job
Read blueprints & interpret including geometric tolerance and positioning
Use standard and indicator inspection equipment
Perform calibration on inspection tools
Must be able to operate Optical Comparator
Perform lab testing for hardness and density
Complete Non-conforming requests and activity sheets
Advise operator and supervisor of any deviations from customer requirements
Provide instruction/training and assistance to inspectors
Program and operate manual C.M.M., operate automated CMM
Review inspection results for accuracy
Develop standardized inspection/testing methods
Provide assistance to Engineering, production & the senior inspector as requested by QC Supervisor
Look for ways to streamline lab functions without compromising quality
Interact/train production operators on inspection techniques
Support GDM 5S and Continuous improvement program
