Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide claims, premium, capitation and membership data in support of underwriting, Actuarial and utilization analyses

  • Identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies 

  • Create and update automated processes 

  • Analyze reporting tools utilized by the internal customer groups 

  • Produce and review reports specific to risk adjustments for various markets

  • Prepare baseline target setting models for potential value based contracts

  • Ensure quality control on contract log by inputting information on executed new contracts

  • Prepare and distribute scheduled scorecards

  • Maintain accrual files for impacted plans

  • Work with settlement operations group to submit payment requests

  • Work with plan Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Medical Economics Director to gain VBC approvals 

  • Update medical economics VBC payment logs for clinical integration payments, basic quality models and shared savings models

  • Develop innovative approaches to achieve deliverables

  • Ad Hoc analysis

  • Work in a self-directed, non-prescribed format with other less structured, more complex issues

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of work experience in a corporate setting

  • At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.

  • Basic level of proficiency with Access

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in performing data analytics

  • Ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools effectively

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of health care experience
