On behalf of IMPAQ International, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Full Time Bilingual Telephone Research Interviewers to conduct nationwide surveys in the Columbia, MD Survey Center.

Candidates must be willing to commit to working a 40 hour work week Monday through Friday, with staggered shifts from 2pm - 11pm.

Candidates must be completely bilingual in English and Cantonese, meaning with a fluent ability to speak, read, and write both languages.

Position Summary
Bilingual Telephone Research Interviewers administer computer based, field tested questionnaires to respondents over the telephone, in English and/or Cantonese, to collect survey information on a wide range of social and economic programs. Data collected is used only for research and analysis and is strictly confidential.

Interviewers are essential to any study because they are the entry point of valid research data collection. The interviewer must read standardized survey questions word for word as they are written and maintain strict confidentiality of all information gathered. Candidates can anticipate providing various shift coverage Monday through Friday depending on time zones being called.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct telephone interviews for the CMS Call Center Evaluation research study using computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) applications to gather and record responses
  • Collect accurate, consistent and reliable data
  • Record and code data collected
  • Assist with other duties as assigned, such as mail preparation, faxing, filing, etc.


Job Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Cantonese
  • Must have excellent oral/written communication and comprehension skills
  • Must be EXTREMELY reliable regarding attendance
  • Must be conscientious, responsible, and an EXCEPTIONAL team player
  • Must be efficient and accurate in completing assigned tasks
  • Must be able to concentrate on-task despite some surrounding ambient noise
  • Must be able to handle survey respondents and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Must be willing and able to follow specific directions and established procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to recognize problems and request supervisor assistance
  • Prior telephone based interviewing or customer service experience
  • Experience with desktop computers and keyboarding.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week hours across various shifts


Pay for this position is an hourly rate depending on past work experience.
