The Optimization Leader holds a key position in the Client Support Services area, and will be a member of the Client Support Services leadership team. The Optimization leader will build out an Optimization department that includes the following:




  • Analytics and reporting: This team is responsible for providing monthly reporting packages to clients that show KPI info, product value metrics, and incident management metrics; this team is also responsible for fulfilling various internal and external analytic needs related to product value; this team exists today, and is in the process of expanding certain capabilities



  • Release Coordination: Release Coordination plays a key role in operationalizing software releases for the internal teams that implement, support and use the releases; in addition, Release Coordination facilitates client and internal testing of software releases in the Preview environment in order to drive early identification of any issues; the leader of this team is in place and the plan is to add a few additional employees in 2015



  • Technical Account Managers: The Technical Account Management (TAM) team is responsible for proactively managing a defined group of live clients; clients with an assigned TAM are often very large clients, or strategic partners of Optum360; the Technical Account Manager is part technical support engineer, part client champion, and part relationship manager, and has three primary responsibilities: account management, technical support (working in partnership with other internal technical teams), and project management; the leader of this team is in place and recruiting is underway for a couple of additional employees



  • Product Documentation and eLearning Solutions: This team is responsible for preparation of various eLearning courses that provide internal and external education; in addition, this team prepares technical product documentation for client consumption, and also assists with other types of client communications such as system incident notices and unusual maintenance activity; this team is in place today


Primary Responsibilities:




  • Lead team of approximately 15-20 employees



  • Develop and refine capabilities in the Optimization arm that will aid Optum360 in better serving clients post go-live, and shifting the paradigm from more reactive management of clients to more proactive management of clients; this includes developing draft frameworks, socializing those frameworks within Optum360 and with clients as needed, and then ensuring that agreed upon frameworks are executed on



  • Partner with Product to determine opportunity to offer fee versus non-fee services to clients



  • Ensure internal data is being used effectively to understand and improve client experience



  • Understand short and long-term client goals and objectives as they relate to Optum360



  • Develop highly effective relationships across all departments that effectively leverage capabilities in those departments to better serve clients post go-live



  • Provide on-going visibility into overall client health and Optimization arm developments that impact clients



  • Serve as client advocate within the organization



  • Meet with clients as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate degree



  • 7+ years of experience in the health care industry; revenue cycle management experience or health information management experience



  • 10+ years of experience leading teams and managing people



  • 10+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and leaders



  • 5+ years of experience presenting to clients in multiple mediums: email, phone, on-site meetings, PowerPoint presentations



  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to execute and motivate others to execute



  • Strong analytical skills



  • Comfortable with ambiguity



  • Strong relationship skills, and ability to influence and work well with internal stakeholders and clients 


  • Business savvy

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree

  • Knowledge of Software as a Service application architecture
