About this job

Responsibilities include:
*Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients and co-workers. Is responsive to customer needs.
*Assists the retail manager with the monitoring of food quality and portion control. Assists the retail manager with cost and makes adjustments to prices as needed. Maintains cafeteria point of sales devices and updates cost information on the registers' program.
*Assists the retail manager with production needs for the cafeteria and schedules all cafeteria and catering employees. Assists with budget process.
*Assists the retail manager with sales records and prepares appropriate reports
*Establishes systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
*Implements, revises and maintains proper work routines for all cafeteria positions. Directs work of supervisors.
*Solicits customer feedback and suggestions regarding retail services. Responds to customer complaints to the satisfaction of the customer.
*Maintains establishes systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.
*Recognizes and adopts retail services appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population.

Position Specifications: At least one-year of previous experience as a Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor or similar role with demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with submitting requisitions, inspecting food, supplies and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met, preparing/serving food, maintaining cleanliness of food service areas, and complying with OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements: Requires constant walking, standing and lifting. Other Requirements: Must be able to lead by example; prioritize effectively; work under pressure; communicate effectively both orally and in writing and possess computer skills (Microsoft Office/email).
