About this job
This position is responsible for an automotive OEM and will support upcoming Production Engineering Engine Projects by:
- Meet with engineers to understand current process and issues and develop simple solutions
- Develop user interface for engineers (UI in Excel) which captures data to store in central location
- Develop macros (Excel vb) - which captures manipulate large amounts of data, store and pull data from SQL Dbase
- Maintain existing excel applications, troubleshoot issues
- Clearly communicate improved process or system function and train engineers
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science preferred (related degree and or related experience acceptable
Ability to work well in a fast paced manufacturing environment
> 5 years experinece in Access/VB programming
Proficient in MS (Excel, Access) & Visual Basic Programming
Experience with SQL
Experience with Sharepoint
Desired
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Strong application of business process to system design.
