The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks an Engineer, Cybersecurity for our IT/Info Systems Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
The Security Engineer ' s role is to ensure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of in-house information systems and processes across the enterprise. This is achieved by participating as a member of the Time Warner Cable Threat Response and Planning team. The individuals of this team are responsible for handling security events escalated by the TWC SOC, reviewing Threat Feeds and creating Threat dashboards for the organization to use in protecting itself against malicious activities. The position will also participate on the on-call rotation of the incident response team.

Essential Job Functions:

- Provide tier 3 escalation support for the SOC relating to Cybersecurity incident response.

- Actively review threat feeds and help develop the security posture of the organization.

- Ensure the integrity of the organization ' s technology and data through the use of security monitoring tools and controls.

- Provide enforcement of security policies, standards and procedures

- Provide documentation relating to implemented security controls for the SOC to utilize.

- Document processes and procedures for existing and new technologies

- Deploy new security technologies/controls as assigned by the project management team.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience

- Proven experience as an incident handler.

- Proven experience responding to security events driving issues to closure engaging all appropriate resources

- Experience in documenting processes and procedures to efficiently manage security controls/incident processes

- Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts.

- Understanding of system security controls and methodologies

- On-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in security incident response

- Experience using Splunk for log analysis

- Hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Windows, UNIX (Linux, AIX, HPUX, Solaris, etc), TCP/IP, etc.

- Knowledge of Data Privacy Practices and Laws

- Incident Handler Certifications (EC- CIH, GIAC - CIH, etc)

- Information Security Certifications, such as CISSP

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
