Description

We have an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing based in our headquarters in Mundelein, IL. The Director of Marketing develops the strategic and tactical direction for the company's marketing efforts for Promo products and programs sold into the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) market. This individual develops and implements strategic plans to proactively address market opportunities/threats to ensure achievement of company objectives. In addition, the Director provides market insight and marketing guidance to the product divisions to ensure consistent sales growth. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and background in developing and implementing marketing programs and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

The challenging responsibilities of the position:
  • Know and understand customer needs within product lines, categories and programs and work with the product divisions to develop solutions and supporting marketing plans to address the identified needs.
  • Represent the needs of the ASC sales force to the organization with specific emphasis on informing the Product Divisions.
  • Understand and analyze the competitive marketplace and develop strategies to effectively compete for increased sales and profitability.
  • Plan Promo and Promo strategies with the ASC sales leadership team, Product Divisions and marketing, including the validation of the sales forecast.
  • Act as the liaison between product divisions and the creative development team to ensure development of the most effective selling tools as well as prioritization of needs across divisions.
  • Engage with Promo planning team to ensure timely development of materials and general preparation for Promo and national sales meetings.
  • Develop strategies, financial and marketing goals and objectives, and recommend and select featured products.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of marketing experience, preferably in healthcare or a related industry with a direct sales force
  • Exceptional organizational and communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs/priorities and skills to use that insight to develop innovative and effective marketing programs that generate sales
  • Excellent project management skills and utilization of project management tools
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting skills
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects from setting strategy to successful execution
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
