As a Dispatch Specialist you are the first point of contact to meet the company's mailing productivity standards and requirements. The Job



This position is responsible for responding to incoming calls regarding transportation dispatch from drivers and customers that could result in delays in pickup or delivering the mail on time.

Communicates information to the appropriate departments to ensure the needed response and service functions are occurring to verify satisfaction, on-time delivery, and minimal delay.

oTracking and reporting situations as they occur.

oCommunicate proactively and effectively in an proffesional office enviornment with mulit faceted customers, emergencies agencies, the general public and employees.

oEnsures accurate documentation of accident, injury, equipemnt breakdowns and determines the approriate parties to contact.

Anaylyze emergency situations and determine the appropiate procedures to follow.

oCommunicates weather delays, road closures and other emergency situations to the appropriate internal and external personnel.

Functions as the initial contact for communication with regulatory agencies and the general public.

Documents and tracks all communication of situations until a resolution has been achieved.

oManges customer concern and compalints in a profesionsal manner.

oImpeccable follow through with accuracy and timliness.

All other duties as assigned

Qualification

2-5 years of experience working in an operations/transportation/fleet service department?

Strong PC skills includling MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to understand and manage business needs and requirements and to work under stress and appropriately communicate in intense situations

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 #'s, walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.

Based on operational need you must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, holidays, a different shift and/or ON-CALL

The following work schedules are currently open:

o32-40 hours per week: Monday - Friday, 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm

o25 hours per week: Part time shift, 6pm-10pm, Tues and Thurs, Sat and Sun 10 am-2pm

This position pays $17.00 - 18.00 per hour based on previous experience and skill set.
