Senior Sales & Merchandise Associate

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have two years retail experience.
• Must be qualified to supervise and to perform duties of the sales merchandising clerk.
• Keyboarding skills.
• Knowledgeable of RSS and StatesNet
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Hand coordination to use computer. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and work in adverse weather conditions.

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Waits on customers, stocks and prices merchandise, and keeps salesroom to corporate merchandising standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Waits on customers and responsible for rendering prompt service which includes answering telephone, operating point of sale, handling complaints, recommending merchandise, loading merchandise from the showroom and warehouse.

2. Keeps salesroom stocked with merchandise including pricing, dating and displaying to corporate standards.

3. Responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of the salesroom and restroom areas.

4. Assists with reports and records.

5. Assists in warehouse or other areas. May include moving stock, loading and unloading merchandise.

6. Attends schools and meetings as required.

7. May assist in coordination of deliveries.

8. May assist in various phases of credit and collection.

9. Adheres to SS Corporate Policies and Procedures.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

11. Assists customers with credit applications, offers, and promotions.
