Part-time A/P Clerk
North Brunswick, NJ
Contract position (several months)
20 hours/week
$18-19/hour



Job Responsibilities: Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and expense reports.

Key Duties:

1. Charges expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.

2. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

3. Answers and responds to vendor inquiries.

4. Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and account payable files.

5. Assists in monthly closing.

6. Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

7. Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.

8. Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.

9. Prepare batches of invoices for payment.

10. Data entry of invoices for payment.

11. Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.

12. Process and distribute reimbursement and manual check

Job Requirements

Part-time A/P Clerk

Job Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. 2+ years accounts payable experience preferred.

3. Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

4. Basic accounting knowledge, including debits and credits.

5. Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Word and Excel needed.

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

7. Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.

8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

9. Quickbooks experience preferred.
