Responsibilities

Manage Enterprise Data Sales Team that supports the vertical to meet and exceed sales goals nationally. Set team objectives that align with regional growth initiatives and initiate performance planning with measurements in all key areas. Instill core values and personal team commitment throughout organization. Maintain consistent communications on key objectives. Responsible for analyzing sales results, monitoring productivity, taking corrective actions, supporting regional sales teams, providing advanced data products expertise, collaborate with Regional Sales leadership, develop forecasting and quota setting that drives aggressive enterprise data growth.

Analyze customer demand for complex solutions and lead internal stakeholders to deliver against target requirements, growth forecast, evolve sales reporting to include all aspects of performance including 3rd party alliances. Assesses market conditions, evaluates territories and market share to identify opportunities for increased growth and revenue while managing churn.

Sales / Customer Retention: Attend high-level sales meetings and executive briefings with potential and existing key accounts to establish strong working relationships and promote the quality of Verizon. Work through contract negotiation process for accounts on pricing and concessions and facilitate final contract approval as required. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments throughout the company to analyze issues impacting the Business channel and recommend, develop, and implement process improvements.

Staffing / Employee Relations: Interview and hire vertically aligned sales leadership team. Oversee the professional development of the EDSM organization. Responsible for coaching, motivating and training team to achieve high-performance results. Ensure EDSM compliance with Business Code of Conduct and Sales Compensation Plans. Partner with workforce development ensure the channel develops the necessary skills to achieve maximum results.

Operations Management: Recommends budget, expenditures and headcount requirements. Approves process and system enhancements for effective operations. Monitors compliance requirements. Continuously receive updates on funnel reporting and key negotiations. Maintain communication with Senior Management on the state of the EDSM channel. Initiate operational reviews and take required with regard to key performance indicators.

Market and Industry Knowledge: Analyze sales results reporting and strategically align proven sales methods to increase productivity and increase market share. Prepare executive summary reviews and updates.

 

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of sales management experience in vertical/agency industries managing geographically dispersed sales team.
  • 3-5 years leading technical organizations that deliver custom solutions involving multiple partners and product components.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Masters preferred.
  • Superior and demonstrable organizational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, staff development and operations skills are required.
  • This position requires the ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required.
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Proven leadership ability and knowledge of wireless industry required.
  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
