A day in the life…
As an assistant manager on our Restaurant team, you’ll play a dual role — part empowering leader, part consummate teacher. In this role, you’ll…

• Complete a comprehensive Manager in Training program that covers all the in’s and out’s of running a successful restaurant – from budgeting and invoicing to scheduling and recruiting
• Hire, train, manage and motivate a crew of culinary pros to serve up the Nordstrom experience in a cup, on a plate and in a bowl
• Support the success of your restaurant by keeping the customers happy, complying with company procedures and keeping productivity up and costs down

You own this if you…

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing and speaking)


• Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)


• Have been there and done that for two to five years in food and beverage service, management, hospitality and/or a retail environment
• Are excited by new ideas and learning new methods and systems.
• Know what mirepoix is
• Have career ambitions in the fast-paced restaurant industry —next stop, manager…who knows from there!
• Have solid written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong math skills – quick, how many cups are in a quart?
• Embrace working a flexible schedule
• Are the proud owner of a food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations
