Warehouse Associate

We have a client in San Leandro that has an immediate need for a warehouse associate. This is a part time position (20 hours per week) with the potential of transitioning to direct hire.



Summary of Position:

Pick and pack orders, receive and put away product, deliver as needed, keep inventory accurate.



Essential Functions:

Perform duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations, sorting and counting.

Utilize Profit 21 system to maintain accuracy of inventory, conduct shipments and transfers.

Pick and pack customer orders with high attention to detail.

Deliver orders to door via company truck.

Accurately receive and efficiently put away product as it is received into the warehouse.

Perform inventory counts.

Maintain the warehouse floor and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Perform related duties as required by team lead or manager.



Physical Demands:

• May be required to stand for long periods of time

• May involve some repetitive motions

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling



Requirements:



Must have clean DMV record – current print out required before applicant is hired.

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization

• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills

• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

• Maintain the production pace of other team members

• Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties

• Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift

• UPS Worldship and other Carrier shipping software programs

Education:

High School diploma is required; or two years of warehouse related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• Familiarity with distribution and warehouse procedures and understand material handling functions helpful.
• Must be able to operate all warehouse equipment and be able to complete moderate data entry.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written communication /directions.
• Must be detailed and action oriented.
• Knowledge of P21, WMS and or UPS Worldship helpful.
