Ouside Sales Representative/ Consultant in Kansas - Full-time / Part-time

CosmoProf is currently seeking a Distributor Sales Consultant/Outside Sales Representative to represent the finest internationally known product lines in our industry. Our Outside Sales Representatives (DSC’s) maximize sales by maintaining and expanding a customer base through market analysis, sales of approved beauty products, introducing new products and concepts, providing customer service, conducting product education and offering retail consulting services to professional beauty salons, schools and licensed stylists, nail technicians and aestheticians. This sales position plays a vital role in assisting CosmoProf customers in a sales territory that includes Wichita, Hutchinson KS and surrounding communities. This is a commission-based sales career with a guaranteed compensation for the first year. Manufacturer and Company incentives are also regularly offered.

Primary functions & efforts required (Outside Sales Representative):

• Develop sales, marketing, promotion and education plans by product and concept based on customer history
• Conduct territory analysis and organization by developing the most efficient coverage pattern for the territory as well as sales call frequency for major accounts, consistent with marketing plans
• Responsible for the service, sales development and accounts receivable of all salons
• Establish major account sales call reporting customer profile cards that accurately outline marketing, sales and merchandising strategy levels in each major account
• Utilize sales cold-calling techniques to generate new customer
• At least 2 years previous outside sales experience in the sales of both tangible products and associated services
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation as position requires considerable amount of driving
• Computer literate, preferably Windows-based programs for laptop/IPad order entry, email, Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual sales merchandising is strongly preferred

Other Skills and Abilities Required (Outside Sales Representative):

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and experienced in working independently
• Capable of effectively and comfortably speaking before large groups of people
• Ability to lift 25 lbs periodically
• Cosmetology license or Beauty Industry experience helpful
