JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Cashier is responsible for collecting and reconciling revenue from the previous day's work of all cashiers, while providing aggressive hospitality to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The Lead Cashier is a model for other cashiers and is highly knowledgeable of the job and operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Service
Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
Acknowledges and greets guests immediately while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
Addresses guests using last names when appropriate
Maintains accuracy and composure while under pressure
Appropriately uses the salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location

Assists guests with directions and all other inquiries
Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
Supervisory/Leadership
Assigns and organizes daily breaks and lunches for cashier staff
Handles the call-off procedure for cashiers and contacts other cashiers to replace call-offs
Coordinates procedures for large events in collaboration with Towne Park and/or hotel management
Maintains a knowledge of all parking systems and equipment at the location
Participates in the recruitment and hiring of cashiers to ensure the best people are selected for the location
Sees that new cashiers get off to the right start through proper orientation and on-the-job training
Practices positive discipline and provides accurate and timely performance documentation for cashiers
Promotes and enlivens the Towne Park culture through good work ethic, drive, energy, positivity and persistence
Financial and Reporting
Determines guest charges and processes payments via cash, credit, or direct billing
Collects and reconciles revenue accurately and furnishes payment receipts
Completes accurate and timely shift reports
Operates equipment, including registers, gates, and credit card machines
Ensures cashiers follow all standard operating procedures related to cash banks
Obtains and disseminates information about daily events and rates to be charged
Reconciles all overages and shortages
Monitors revenue per available space and makes adjustments accordingly
Maintains the location's continuity and SOP binders
Systems and Standards
Maintains clean, neat work environment including all surrounding work areas
Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Account Manager
Treats guests and associates with courtesy, respect and dignity
Follows all appearance standards as set forth by Towne Park , including complete approved pressed uniform
Follows all attendance standards as set forth by Towne Park , as required by the scheduling which may vary according to the needs of the location
Executes all terms and conditions as set forth in the Towne Park Associate Handbook and other policies and procedures
Safety and Risk Management
Follows site specific safety and security procedures
Practices preventative safety procedures as set forth by Towne Park
Reports all accidents and incidents observed on shift to Account Manager immediately
Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
Reports all potential high risk areas and safety concerns to manager
Identifies and collect revenue for overnight vehicles that have not been charged for parking
Collects claim checks/tickets from all guests prior to issuing keys
Checks all keys for location of vehicle and damage surveys prior to securing keys
Maintains claim checks and guest folio archives
Produces guest vehicle key inventory for billing purposes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to read and write standard English language
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Must be able to write simple correspondence
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two (1-2) years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
