Security Officer Overnight Shift

At Oakwood, we value our Security Officers as the eyes and ears within our apartment communities to keep our associates and tenants safe and secure. In this role, you will interact with other Oakwood associates, tenants, and others on a daily basis. We will count on you to have a keen eye for detail and provide critical information to our management staff as appropriate.

Daily Responsibilities Include

• Patrol properties regularly to ensure security of properties
• Respond to resident requests for service for Oakwood Worldwide
• Maintain daily security logs, crime reports and legal notices
• Notify external law enforcement and emergency agencies when necessary
• Perform after hour resident check-ins and lockouts
• Assists management as prescribed
• Enforce house rules and policies
• Maintains key inventory
• Maintains good public relations with tenants and outside contacts

Minimum Requirements

• Must be available to work overnight shifts and weekends
• Must be able to cover shifts at three properties: Falls Church and Gaithersburg with Friday/Saturday are typical days off. Work shifts usually Sunday - Thursday 12am - 9am
• Well developed customer service skills are a must and security experience is a plus
