Title: Marketing Support Specialist

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: VP of Operations and OEM Sales

Description Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Operations and OEM Sales, the Marketing Support Specialist oversees the successful management and updating of the product website and maintains accurate and detailed communication with vendors, account managers and internal staff.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:





1. Accurately enters all parts and data on company website and updates as needed

2. Ensures peak website presentation at all times

3. Resizes and formats graphics and photos of products correctly for posting

4. Verifies data and matches correct information to products and photos

5. Develops and maintains a business relationship with product vendors; promotes effective communication across all parties involved

6. Researches and locates vendor information on Manufacturer’s websites and updates internally as necessary

7. Requests required information and completes necessary follow-up actions

8. Conducts outbound calls to vendors as needed to keep projects moving forward

9. Identifies and reports product/process issues; offers suggestions for improved performance

10. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

o Education and/or Experience:
    • Proficient use of computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
    • Two-three years of relevant work experience


o Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematics

o Reasoning Abilities: Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions



o Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to learn products, weights, shipping information, prices, customer types, marketing tools and programs, order processing, office and warehouse procedures

  • Communicates effectively by using active listening skills; speaks in a pleasant and professional manner

  • Ability to modify and format data, graphics and photos provided by multiple vendors

  • Computer proficiency as well as working knowledge of phone systems, fax machines, copier etc.
