Winston Retail is a passionate, talented and hard-working team, responsible for the retail presentation for top fashion, image and lifestyle brands, including: Nike, Calvin Klein, Lucky Brand Jeans, Hugo Boss, Puma, Tumi, The North Face and many more.

As a Lead Merchandise Coordinator, you will spend a majority of your time as a brand ambassador visiting various retail locations within your market. You will be responsible for partnering with sales, marketing and visual departments to review opportunities and challenges as it relates to their retailers, markets and competition (involving, but not limited to brainstorming, Q & A, and training sessions).

Job Requirements

Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years of retail, wholesale or branded footwear and/or apparel experience
  • Sporting goods background
  • BA/BS Degree or Fashion/Merchandising Degree
  • Previous work as a retail coordinator (preferred)
  • Managment experience in business or retail environment
  • Regional at an apparel and/or footwrar company (preferred)

  • Excellent and proven training skills, coaching skills and presentation skills
  • People Management, Development and Assessment resulting in a strong team
  • Visual Merchandising Talent and Top Level Merchandise Coordinator expertise
  • Computer skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, the ability to master our field visit report/photo reporting system and utilize Digital Photography
  • Professional and influential demeanor with senior and middle management at retailer’s and with the client
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Strong independent work ethic and business acumen
  • Ability to adjust to change regularly and be motivated by working with a variety of different levels of management (Winston & Retailers)
  • Must be exceptionally organized and a master at time management
  • Must be willing to travel and flexible to travel adjustments
  • Must be solution-oriented, with the ability to turn challenges into opportunities at Retailer’s and coach Merchandise Coordinators (MC) during visits to do the same via strong relationships with Visual, Store Management and Associates at Retailers
  • Focus on brand at select Retailer locations and be fluent on directives/standards/processes

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  1. Merchandising of product category utilizing client directives on a daily basis (replenishment, visuals, EOW market reports)
  2. Communicate effectively accomplishments at the department and door level to Winston Retail Solutions and the Client: (Compose brand analysis reporting daily)
  3. Develop in-store relationships to maximize opportunities at retail: (Fixture placement, real estate of brand)
  4. Field Team visits
  5. Market tour presentation
  6. Presence at key brand events within market
  7. Monthly conference calls training on directives
  8. Quarterly meetings at brand headquarters
