Positions in this function are responsible for
implementing new customers onto EDI and maintaining a book of business to
process ongoing maintenance EDI files. Positions will apply group data into the
enrollment platform database & update the tracking database with file
activity. Positions will also respond to EDI group and internal customer
questions and concerns. Positions will work with heavy email correspondence and
phone inquiries. Positions will also be responsible for researching eligibility
discrepancies, analyzing transactional data submitting eligibility changes.
Positions will also be responsible for inventory control of member and group
transactions that come in on the customer EDI file.




Primary Responsibilities:



  • Load new group
    member data into the enrollment databases & update the databases with
    changes via an electronic file
  • Respond to group
    eligibility questions & verify enrollment status
  • Reconcile EDI
    group eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data
  • Inventory
    control of member and group transactions
  • Work with Sales,
    IMO, Employer groups, TPAs and brokers
  • Work
    independently
  • May act as a
    resource for others
  • May coordinate
    others activities
  • Responsible for
    specific Employer group book of business




Requirements



Requirements:



  • An education
    level of at least a high school diploma or GED is required
  • 2+ years of
    experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and
    computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties is required, 
  • Familiarity with
    Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and
    complex computer system is required
  • Intermediate
    level MS Excel knowledge is required
  • Working Hours 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Must be
    willing to work overtime as needed 


Assets: 



  • Experience Reading and Constructing flat files                                                   
  • UNET/NICE/IA    
                                                                                   
  • Previous Healthcare Insurance experience 
  • Previous
    experience working with Enrollment/Eligibility software is preferred
  • Experience with
    data analysis is preferred
  • College Degree

  • Ability to
    multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and
    multiple levels of benefits within each product
  • Ability to
    remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive+
  • Must be able to
    work well in a team environment
  • Limited PTO during open enrollment seasons  
  • Ability to set up and lead customer calls (internal and
    external)
  •  Excellent Outlook email skills and etiquette                    



Physical Requirements and Work
Environment:



  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting,
    use of hands/ fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects,
    long periods working at a computer
  • Service center environment with moderate noise level
    due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity
