Overview:

The Center of Shared Business Intelligence Manager I will be in a lead role in developing and executing Acosta CSBI business insights and analytics projects. He/she will create the analytics and tools to deliver quality insights, conclusions, and answers. The Shared Business Intelligence Manager I will take an active role in execution and delivery of CSBI projects. These projects can range from a specific client issue/opportunity, category reviews, new item presentations, a customer opportunity, scorecard development, price/promotion analytics, space/assortment analytics or internal analysis needed to grow Acosta’s business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and planning of key data-driven analyses to support the overall Shared Business Intelligence vision.
  • Manage the planning and execution of complex project activities.
  • Lead project teams through the process of initiating projects developing detail project requirements and manage the life cycle of the project.
  • Build relationships with project stakeholders, write and present regular status updates.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues by distributing the relevance of the analyses provided.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to an understandable way for a variety of people.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 yrs + experience in Consumer Package Goods (CPG) industry business insights, research and analytics.
  • The Center of Shared Business Intelligence Manager must have a proven track record in the CPG industry and key understanding of business insights methods and tools including industry standard tools (IRI, Nielsen etc.) as well as the development and understanding of shopper insights.
  • Must have a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and graphics. Must be able to effectively communicate with others including presenting one on one and in large groups.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to think in a linear logical thought process to resolve problems.
  • Must have excellent analytical and research skills; must have the ability to assimilate relevant data sources and hone in on key insights that drive business recommendations
  • Must have the ability to quantify and model the economic impact of various business scenarios
  • Must be able to interact with Acosta sales and senior level positions;
  • Consultative presentation skills- must be able to present to both large and small groups
  • Project Management skills and time Management skills. Must have the availability to work on several projects simultaneously.
