About this job

Electrician, Heavy Industrial- Installs, connects, tests, maintains and repairs electrical systems. Voltage experience required. Troubleshoots electronic circuitry to isolate problems and take appropriate corrective action. Must have thorough knowledge of basic electronics, advanced electronics, AC/DC drives, numerical controls, and digital electronics. Must be capable of performing component level repairs. Fitter Welder- fits up and welds assemblies and subassemblies consisting of a variety of carbon steel shapes. Machinist- operates a variety of metal working equipment to repair worn or broken parts and/or to manufacture replacement parts from various metals. Millwright- Installs, repairs, replaces, dismantles and reassembles machinery and heavy equipment. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, burning machines and saws that are used in steel fabrication. There will also be warehouse duties, such as running a machine, overhead crane or assisting with loading/ unloading as needed. · Ability to install and /or repair plumbing fixtures. · Ability to install PVC plumbing lines. · Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuitry and perform component level repairs and/or replacements. · Ability to operate traditional machine shop equipment such as metal lathe, shaper, horizontal or vertical milling machine, drill press etc. · Ability to troubleshoot and repair internal combustion engines · Ability to operate any or all processing equipment resident in the district warehouse. · Ability to operate a personal computer utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software. · Ability to administer first aid including CPR. · Ability to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures to improve the productivity and efficiency of various processing equipment. · Ability to read and interpret OSHA and other regulatory agency standards. Requirements Candidates must have knowledge and experience concerning pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects of Press Brakes, Shears, Automated Saws, Oxy and Plasma Burners, Lasers, and Overhead Cranes. Must be proficient in the use of electronic analog and digital meters, oscilloscopes and radio frequency (RF) test equipment and to run diagnostic programs to pinpoint malfunctions and be able to replace defective components, circuit boards, wiring and/or make adjustments or otherwise calibrate electronic equipment using previously mentioned test equipment and hand tools. Must be proficient in understanding and able to troubleshoot the following: radio frequency control devices, solid state of circuitry, and digital electronics. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting electronic schematics. Must be able to install, test, calibrate, maintain and repair electronic equipment to insure its proper function. 4 years of experience as an electronic technician in a heavy industrial environment preferred.
