Pharmacy Technician

A company in the Greater Cleveland area that specializes in the Closed Door Pharmaceutical Sector is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to do the following:

Job Description

• Read and interpret prescriptions
• Enter translated prescription information into computer system
• Maintain productivity and quality goals set forth by Catamaran
• Research additional information as necessary in various systems to complete required tasks
• Ability to speak clearly on the telephone to make calls to account managers, co-workers or insurance companies
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• May perform other business duties as assigned per business needs

Qualifications

• PTCB/CPHT / Certified through a retail pharmacy or other pharmacy / OR non-certified with only pharmacy background
• Pharmacy experience/externship in any pharmacy setting such as retail, long term, outpatient, inpatient, mail order
• Accurate, detailed, identify problems and team player
• Must be able to fill 300 prescriptions a day in the fulfillment area. Must have knowledge on how to call for overrides for difficult processing.
