Primary Responsibilities:


  • Partner with UMR-UNC sister company

  • Manage ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts

  • Add value to sales and account management process by coordinating telephone discussions, face-to-face meetings, scheduling quarterly and annual meetings and preparing/distributing account reports, as requested

  • Review spend and Increase generic utilization

  • Act as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts

  • Build relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serve as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery

  • Represent client internally and coordinate with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs

  • Develop solid working relationships with producers to assist in up sell opportunities in partnership with sales staff

  • Responsible for account management across a specific region; create and support the implementation of strategic business plans and retention for assigned region

  • Support and participate in sales presentations and processes

  • Responsible for training and updating information related to customers across UnitedHeathcare Specialty Benefits

Requirements



Required Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of Account Management experience

  • 3 years Pharmacy benefit Management (PBM) experience

  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Prior experience managing a large book of business

  • A high degree of customer focus and attention to service

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and think through issues thoroughly, identify alternative responses and bring about an effective solution

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree
