Responsibilities

This position will assist the manager in developing and implementing a plan to reduce the Retail Channel's avoidable Certified Like-New Replacement (CLNR) exchanges.This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement and conducting data analysis to reduce unnecessary replacement device exchanges. This includes creating and running complex SQL, analyzing returned device data, collecting and analyzing customer tech contact and returns data, and leading calls with OEMs, vendors, and internal teams to obtain feedback and provide information to support management decisions. The position is also responsible for investigating and leading root cause analysis when metrics indicate our established processes are not preventing avoidable returns

  • Working cross-functionally to determine and gather complex data and information that will help analyze device return drivers to highlight opportunities for business process improvements. Researching any integrated tech response problem and gather supporting information to fully understand financial and operational impact
  • Evaluating business issues and device return drivers and deciding on key business assumptions required in query logic. Performing data analysis to identify trend analysis of returns, failures, and customer complaints to identify potential device quality issues and business process improvements.
  • Developing complex reporting methodologies, identifying proper data sources, and writing SQL queries to gather data.Developing reliable and efficient reporting methodologies and automation to streamline business decision making
  • Making recommendations to management regarding risks and opportunities based on the analyses performed .Serving as the subject matter expert for the data in the reports. This position will have full accountability for their work and will be responsible for all projects from beginning to end.

Qualifications

  • Experience extracting data from the VZW Data Warehouse or other large databases required
  • Experience in generating complex SQL queries to gather required data for analysis
  • Proven ability to take large amounts of multifaceted data and create accurate, insightful and meaningful information to be used in business decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the experience and ability to be accountable for the data produced.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a professional capacity
  • Proven experience working in a self-directed environment on projects and assignments.
  • Working knowledge of Verizon Wireless Retail and Customer Service systems including but not limited to NetAce, Mobile POS, ACSS, NRB, MTAS, MARS
  • Proficient in Excel, Access and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under time constraints and deliver results by deadlines.
  • Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, based on changing business needs.
  • BS/BA in statistics, engineering, computer science, quality, manufacturing preferred or minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
