Material Handler

We are currently recruiting for material handlers in Chambersburg. This position will be working in a steel manufacturing company. We have different material handler openings. Some will be working in the burntable area and responsible for getting off and on the burntable all day long. The burntable sits about 2 1/2 to 3 ft off the ground, so the person will be up and down all day long. Burntable cuts the raw steel and the person will be cleaning the scrap off the burntable and making a pile on the floor. Person must be able to lift 50 lbs and run an over head crane. Overhead crane exp is a plus. Having forklift exp is good, but not a must. Most candidates don't run a forklift on a daily basis, but there are times when they do need to help out and run one. Lifting excess material off of burn table and taking it to the scrap area is an all day process. This is a very physical position.

We also have loading/unloading steel on trucks. These candidates need to have prior overhead crane experience because they will be loading very large pieces of steel onto tractor trailers.

Candidates must be willing to submit to a drug test/background check/physical.

2nd shift hours 3-11pm Monday-Friday

3rd shift hours 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday
