The LOT Specialist is responsible for coordinating all the key functions involved in the Deployment Planning Process for assigned categories and assigned third party manufacturing sites. Key responsibility is to deploy the right product to the right place at the right time and the right quantity using the right method of transportation using forecasts generated by AMPS while aligning to the Unilever strategic goals. This individual must possess the ability to utilize SAP and all Supply Chain Planning systems to effectively execute all processes (daily requirements planning, critical stock resolution, order cut research and re-balancing network) for one or more categories. This role requires strong communication skills utilizing various multimedia methods(instant messaging, email, telephone) as it is the central point of contact for inventory location and distribution for many areas of supply chain including but not limited to; Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain Planning and Transportation. II. Position Responsibilities (Expected Work) 1. Oversee standard inventory distribution across sales and purchase orders. This includes identification of exceptions scenarios, allocations, process inefficiencies and case fill improvement opportunities. 2. Using SAP ECC/APO evaluate and approve system generated transfer of goods between distribution centers. 3. Using SAP ECC/APO and external forecasts create company stock transfers to improve customer case fill while utilizing cost efficient methods of transportation based on future production, customer ordering trends and sales value. 4. Utilize SAP ECC/APO to identify re-balancing opportunities and/or short term resolution of all stock-out scenarios for assigned category/s, by weighing the implications of freight cost vs. customer service throughout the Unilever distribution network. 5. Interact with related internal departments and external partners (i.e. Supply Chain Planning, Transportation, Warehousing, Manufacturing Plants, Co packers) to achieve category business and service goals. Responsible for input into weekly Customer Service Review meetings. 6. Track assigned category deployment performance, identify failures and trends that may impact customer service and category goals and provide improvement recommendations. 7. Maintain daily cost trade-off through trans-shipments, customer order bypass, inter-modal usage, load weight utilization. 8. Manage and communicate distribution interruptions i.e. carrier capacity, carrier on time, distribution center capacity, component issues, late production and product quality issues to the business. 9. Ensure on time and in full deployment of promotional items. 10. Manage flow of finished goods into/out of assigned third party manufacturing site(s) *Manage the day to day deployment of approximately $30MM worth of finished goods, and anywhere from 200-300 items (depending on categories) between Distribution Centers, Co packers, and Unilever Manufacturing facilities Category responsibility- responsible for 1-2 categories for the purposes of communication and stock crisis management. Point of contact for CS, Supply Chain Planning (Demand and Supply) Fully operational in SAP ECC/APO Understanding of Oracle Transportation Management System BS degree or AS degree for candidates with 4+ years' experience Minimum 2 years' experience in Logistics/Supply Chain SAP experience preferred but not required Strong Microsoft Excel skills (assessments are required) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment required Assignment length: 3-4 months
