Responsibilities:
Support R&D community in a QC styled laboratory. Run analytical and physical instrumentation on various products in a timely manner. Document and record results using Microsoft Excel and Lotus Notes. Some instrument examples include titrators, GC's, density meters, viscometers, and spectrophotometers. Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain the lab in a clean and safe condition.
Candidates will be working with the Laundry and Cleaning and Personal Care groups.
Candidate must provide key support such as performance testing, formulation analysis, reagent preparation, and general lab work. Independent and proactive in problem solving.
Adhere to safety policies/ standards. Document analyses in RATS database in a timely manner. Communicate supply and chemical needs.
Qualifications:
This individual needs to be open on first AND second shift. First shift usually starts between 7am-8am and second shift is second shift position: 11:30 am to 8 pm after training. Terry said that he wants candidates open to either. Make sure they are open to working between 7am-8pm.
The candidate must be open to both shifts and flexible. This is based on need on the hours the manager will have them come in.
Entry level position, experience in chemistry lab preferred. Bachelors degree in chemistry. Training in analytical instrumentation preferred. Also, the contract is going to last 18months.
Provide key project support: analysis, performance testing, reagent prep and standardization, general laboratory work, etc. Help solve problems and make projects successful.
