The Senior Business Systems Analyst oversees the development and continuous evolvement of the data management, system/support, and application processes collectively used to manage Target's Asset Management systems, as well as the supplier enablement processes. This Senior Business Analyst role will focus on analyzing data to identify trends and themes to drive change such as expense reduction, business processes redesign, training, business process adherence/governance and the development of new system use processes. They are responsible for leveraging enterprise and PD data to drive improved decision making across PD. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll take the lead as you: Drive process change and system solutions to support new and changing business initiatives while ensuring sustainability of existing system processes. Serve as a functional/system process owner for core applications and assists with providing recommendations on business process redesign and facilitate business requirement gathering. Identify issues, gaps, requirements to form recommendations/solutions for end user adoption of new processes and system functionality. Perform data analysis to provide actionable insights and solutions to drive additional value through the use of our technology investments. Types of analysis may include: measurements of business process performance and execution, system performance and stability, etc.; Responsible for the continuous monitoring, governance and stability of existing operational and system processes; Assists in the creation of key stakeholder communications; Build strong partnerships within the Stores, Distribution, Corporate Real Estate, Facility Maintenance organizations, and vendors as necessary; Partners with TTS as a business liaison on break fix remediation and system release implementation; Explores system/process benchmarking opportunities with internal and external clients; Performance management and system remediation testing facilitation. The SBSA will also play a role in managing projects, large in scope, complexity, and effort. Process/Technical Knowledge - Demonstrates thorough understanding or core applications and supporting systems based on hands-on experience and training. Identifies opportunities and solutions to further automate. Identifies metrics that are both useful and understandable. Develops and maintains test cases. Continually builds on skills and business knowledge, in order to effectively drive change. with current and future business process changes in order to make recommendations for adoption. Configures asset management systems to meet business needs and documents configurations for support knowledge. Consults/Approves knowledge articles for support team use.

Creates and maintains best practices, project status updates, and project requirements. Focuses on continuous improvement efforts to improve execution, productivity and system/process efficiency. Gather business requirements to drive project efforts, help determine priorities and partner with clients to take projects from concept to completion. Works with vendors to identify areas of opportunity to further leverage system/investment. Participates in benchmarking with other companies/vendors. Manages expectations, develops alternative solutions with stakeholders/client throughout the project. Participates in solution formulation conversations based on business requirements with technical partners. Develops control plans for projects and measures results against business cases to determine if business value has been realized. Works on special projects independently and as directed by Manager. Takes ownership of assigned initiatives and volunteers for additional responsibilities.

Consulting and Process Improvement
Manage stakeholder communication and expectations to gain consensus and buy-in. Demonstrate value and drive adoption of data based analytics across the PD organization. Consult with other teams across the organization identifying and sharing Best Practices and technologies. Drive continuous improvement projects re: usability, performance and stability to improve the end user experience. Facilitates and/or participates on project teams and provides subject matter support for process improvement recommendations. Leverage cross PD and organizational experiences to develop global solutions that impact multiple areas of Property Development, Distribution and Corporate Real Estate. Drives the measurement of project results. Develops and reports on process and system governance standards, metrics and benchmarks.

Data Analysis
Demonstrate value and drive adoption of data based analytics across the PD organization. Ensure consistency in data by establishing data structures and naming conventions.

Programming and Database Management
Write escalations or scripts to perform tasks within systems.

Information Technology
Demonstrates thorough understanding of core applications and supporting systems based on hands-on experience and training. Identifies opportunities and solutions to further automate. Identifies metrics that are both useful and understandable. Develops and maintains test cases. Continually builds on skills and business knowledge, in order to effectively drive change. with current and future business process changes in order to make recommendations for adoption. Configures asset management systems to meet business needs and documents configurations for support knowledge. Consults/Approves knowledge articles for support team use.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education Expectations: 4 year degree or equivalent
Specific Type of Degree: B.A./B.S.
