Position Overview

The Sales and Finance Manager ensures that the dealership meets or exceeds its new and used vehicle sales targets, as well as F&I targets on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. The Sales and Finance Manager is responsible for selecting, developing and retaining a sales associate team to meet or exceed business results.

Who Would I Interact With?
This position interacts daily with Customers, Sales Associates, Sales Managers, Financial Services Manager, Accounting Associates and support staff, just to name a few.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Forecast daily and monthly goals for the department and strive to meet them
  • Monitor all three areas of traffic: showroom, e-Commerce, and phones; staff sales team to provide appropriate coverage
  • Ensure implementation of the Customer 1st Sales Process
  • Desk deals in accordance with the Sales Menu Process
  • Assist Sales Associates in the potential closing of car deals
  • Participate in save-a-deal and heat-sheet meetings
  • Complete trade appraisals in accordance with AutoNation processes
  • Complete customer follow-up as outlined by AutoNation standards
  • Assist in managing controllable expenses in variable operations (i.e., sales and F&I)
  • Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to Finance and Insurance
  • Maintain an efficient workflow of all finance office processes
  • Adhere to AutoNation's F&I Interview/Menu Selling Process
  • Contract deals
  • Maintain proper lender mix including Captives and Preferred Lenders
  • Adhere to Approved Product and Product Pricing Guidelines
  • Log all deliveries accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain chargebacks at an acceptable level
  • Assist sales teams in following up with non-delivered sold units
  • Verify lien payoff balances and automotive insurance policies
  • Verify all customer signatures
  • Copy all non-prime documents to maintain in the Deal Jacket
  • Verify customer vehicle deposit receipts in house at delivery
  • Hire, train, motivate, monitor/coach the performance of all vehicle sales associates
  • Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings, to include training
  • Conduct business in a manner consistent with AutoNation standards for integrity and ethics
  • Lead and coach Sales Associates to continuously improve the customer experience and achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction

  • Ability to utilize personal computers including Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to operate an automobile
