ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The Marketing Analyst, Insights & Loyalty role will be a key contributor to the marketing team and overall hhgregg organization through the delivery of insightful analysis and findings used to drive strategic decision-making. The Marketing Analyst will utilize analytical techniques to extract intelligence from hhgregg's customer and point of sale databases that result in a deeper understanding of customer shopping behaviors, customer satisfaction, store/market performance, and effectiveness of marketing. The Marketing Analyst will also work with the Marketing and ecommerce teams to develop and execute loyalty programs which improve engagement with our customers. In addition, the Marketing Analyst will work with internal/external partners on various marketing initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Analyst, Insights & Loyalty are essential in the successful execution of the position:
•Analyze and interpret compelling and actionable insights from hhgregg databases and 3rd party tools
•Use predictive analytics and modeling to optimize marketing campaigns and other strategic initiatives
oIncluding but not limited to: retailer and category analysis, sales/promotion analysis, marketing mix testing, market basket analysis, customer/market segmentation, and ROI measurement
•Analyze customer satisfaction data to monitor customer needs and improve the customer experience
•Create, execute, and measure loyalty programs (rewards, trigger programs, new mover, etc.)
•Oversee hhgregg brand measurement (awareness/consideration drivers, ad campaign performance/recall, etc.)
•Present project findings and insights in concise narrative and within context of broader external/ internal factors
• Use appropriate statistical methods and other means to ensure validity and integrity of research and analysis
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Statistics
•Uses creative problem solving combined with analytical rigor to achieve difference-making results
•2-4 years experience in customer/marketing analysis used in optimizing marketing strategy
•Background in retail, direct/multi-channel marketing including CRM, web and digital analytics preferred
•Passion for analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources, gleaning insight and identifying strategic implications, conclusions and recommendations to drive strategic initiatives
•Thorough understanding and proficiency in application of market research methodologies and analytical tools
•Superior written and oral communication skills, data visualization and presentation skills
•Highly organized, keen attention to detail and quality
SPECIAL SKILLS and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
•Strong work ethic and operates with appropriate sense of urgency
•Self starter who works well as a team contributor as well as independently
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced formulas
•Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
