Primary Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming Provider and Enrollee calls.
  • Enter notifications, Providers' status of an existing notification, and determining if notification is required.
  • Complete Notification Wizard, along with ICD-9 and CPT Coding.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to both Providers and Enrollees.
  • Assist with faxes and emails.
  • Build authorizations in UHC systems.
  • Provide clear and accurate documentation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Clinical setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Clerical or Administrative role.
  • 1+ year of Call Center experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Healthcare or Insurance/Benefits.
  • Medical Terminology/Coding (ICD-9 and CPT) experience.
  • Hospital, Physician, or Medical/Clinical experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, and long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitor.
  • Service Center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity.
