We are currently hiring for an IT Support position in Red Oak, IA. This is an excellent opportunity with a premier manufacturing company.
IT Support
- You will define, analyze, support, test, and administer business related technology within a budgeted time frame and cost that will meet departmental requirements.
- Participate in small teams on assignments to accomplish project goals.
- Provide analytical advice and direction for application and technology that impacts business operations.
- Develop data flow, formulas, and methods supplying relative illustrative charts, tables, diagrams, and procedural statements.
- Develop and deploy appropriate Information Technology solutions.
- Recommend modifications of basic IT systems in order to improve and simplify business systems and reduce operating cost.
- Establish and develop procedures for proper utilization of IT technology.
- Evaluate and modify existing technology to take into account changes in business requirements or equipment configurations.
- Overnight travel to remote locations to assist in the implementation of technical solutions.
- Provide after-hour technical support as needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
- Understand how applications and technologies impact the business.
Requirements
- Education required/ preferred: 4 year University/College Degree or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of commensurate technology for assigned area of responsibility.
- Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management ability.
- Ability to establish own priorities.
- Sound decision making skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- A+, Network +, or related certification or work experience.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to be on call during off-shift hours and weekends.
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows and Office Products.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Ability to: lift 10 pounds, lift 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds rarely.
- Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
- Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis.
- Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
- Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
- High School Diploma/GED
Wage: $10.00-15.00/hr
