Requirements

GMR Marketing is seeking a part-time, Senior Brand Ambassador for our wireless client's new program. This position will be up to 20 hours per week and will last for approximately 52 weeks.

Brief Job Summary

The Senior Brand Ambassador (SBA) will report to a Market Manager in a nearby market. The SBA will develop a working knowledge of the client's primary demographic and market in their home market. The SBA establishes a relationship with the client to work together to meet their program goals. The SBA will gain an understanding of the communities surrounding the client's stores and will work with the client to build marketing plans that align with these communities targeting their consumer base and exceeds market goals while staying within budget.

The SBA is responsible for overseeing and managing one or more Lead Brand Ambassador (LBA) and their teams of Brand Ambassadors (BAs), by providing them with the guidance and tools necessary to execute the program efficiently. The SBA should be prepared to assume the duties of the LBA or BA as needed. The SBA holds ultimate responsibility for the success of the market and all program related materials such as tracking and maintaining proper amounts of inventory.

The SBA is also responsible for managing and evaluating the growth of their Market and Team(s). This includes the ability to evaluate, coach and develop performance plans for each Team Member as well as successfully running and cultivating their market and team's growth potential. The SBA will ensure that the Team Member's are building brand and company awareness and gain exposure and trail at program events.

The position also requires the SBA to regularly attend program trainings to keep up to date on current and relevant promotions and information related to their position. This position requires some travel.

The SBA will also complete all other duties as assigned by GMR corporate staff.

Ability to build and maintain an organization that is up to speed on all program deliverables via the constant use of a sound business plan as well as communication, motivational, and team building tools
Analyzes market and industry conditions continuously. Manages schedule to appropriately meet or exceed market performance goals and adapt to market conditions.
Assist in recruiting, interviews and hiring potential Team Member candidates that meet the superior qualities and characteristics required by the program. Reports all hiring decisions to the Regional Manager and QuickStrike
Creates and articulates strategically sound, creative business recommendations, plans and goals to staff
Provides experience, leadership and insight to ensure a positive team experience through guidance, mentoring, knowledge sharing and team building
Identifies relevant and timely development projects for self, team leadership and team members in order to build up their market's business capabilities
Articulates and manages team expectations clearly and appropriately in order to keep leadership as well as team members up to date on all priorities
Inspires and motivates team leadership and team members with his/her vision and encourages team members to be part of the development of their market
Creates and implements consistent tools and processes to communicate plans, goals, and changes in direction or priorities in a timely and efficient manner
Collects and organizes competitive market data
Assists in the Market Manager in developing Quarterly Reports that reflect current market status and plans to improve based on those results

Executional Excellence

Determines the interrelationship of tasks and their relative importance; makes plans and takes action accordingly. Exhibits drive towards an ultimate goal
Is knowledgeable of all aspects of the program, its processes and all current and upcoming procedures and programming
Act as the primary contact for staff members
Oversee and manage a team of LBAs, and BAs to ensure that the program is running in accordance with client and program requirements
Define the roles and individual duties of each LBA and BA
Oversee daily management of operations (e.g. shipments, equipment, computers, assets and inventory)
Monitor markets' event selection to ensure a proper fit with the stated program standards and objectives
Assists the market with the roll-out of new program initiatives
Ability to share that knowledge and drive their team to execute flawlessly and take corrective action immediately to keep team on course
Works with Market Manager to develop, recap and share "Best Practices" within their market, as well as the entire program
Takes overall ownership of all documents that are produced to ensure accuracy, thoroughness and timely delivery
Maintains consistent, clear and accurate records of program activity for GMR HQ.
Takes overall ownership of team inventory to guarantee necessary orders, returns and reconciliations
Ensure executed events uphold the highest standards of compliance, and safety for staff and the general public

Performance Management

Ability to identify and develop team members, successfully manage staff growth and retention, drive advancement and training while keeping with the high standards of the program
Works with Market Managers to train and manage Lead Brand Ambassadors and Brand Ambassadors
Assist Market Manager in implementing tactics to improve employee retention within the market and region
Identifies a team members strengths and development opportunities and clearly communicates this information to direct reports as well as upper management
Ability to provide coaching and leadership to ensure team members have the tools, the direction and motivation to succeed as well as meet or exceed expectations
Ability to monitor direct reports business performance as well as their personal / professional growth based on feedback and evaluations
Monitors staff performance on an ongoing basis to ensure that team and individual goals are being met and or exceeded
Understands when to use different levels of motivation (constructive criticism, positive reinforcement or disciplinary action) to motivate, challenge and discipline team members
Properly documents and collects performance evaluations both positive and negative in order to develop and manage performance plans for each team member
Identifies and selects candidates with superior qualities and characteristics as required by the program

Works with Market Manager to gathers and analyzes information, identifies goals, explores and selects solutions, implements action plans and evaluates results
Quickly identifies and communicates problems to team members and upper management
Creates and executes sound solutions
Assists Market Manager in gathering relevant information and provides recommendations and points of view to entire team and upper management on how to overcome roadblocks
Asks questions when unsure in order to develop positive solutions

All Senior Brand Ambassadors meet the following requirements

Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to submit to and pass a criminal background check
Have reliable transportation
Wear appropriate uniform when required
Attend all mandatory Manager and Brand Ambassador trainings

Educational and Work Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and degree
Two years of industry experience is required
Three years of industry experience is preferred

Language Ability

Written and conversational knowledge of the English language and grammar
Bi-Lingual a plus and possibly a requirement depending on the market demographic
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Math Ability

Ability to perform basic mathematical equations

Computer Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of computers with average to above average skills in programs like Windows, Excel, Word, and Email
Ability to learn new computer programs quickly and efficiently
