About this job

 Envoy's Talent Services Department provides dedicated recruitment support to various departments in order to hire for management and non-management positions system-wide.   In this role, the Recruiter maintains direct and frequent contact with hiring managers and candidates in order to provide guidance and support on recruitment related matters. Managing these relationships will allow the Recruiter to meet and exceed hiring manager and candidate expectations.

 Primary responsibilities:

  • Post internal and external job requisitions and review submitted applications
  • Develop recruiting plans to meet staffing needs and source candidates as needed
  • Coordinate interview sessions and/or hiring events
  • Participate in hiring events and career fairs which include giving presentations to jobseekers 
  • Participate in group and one-on-one interviews to hire the best of the best
  • Oversee the pre-employment process for selected candidates by initiating background checks, collecting digital fingerprintsand scheduling drug tests
  • Track requisition and candidate activity by maintaining up-to-date information with our applicant tracking system, spreadsheets and candidate files
  • Ensure appropriate record-keeping documents are retained for interview files

This position has heavy face-to-face interaction as well as phone and email correspondence.  Some workgroups being recruited may have high volume hiring.  The Recruiter must conduct follow-up reviews on all requisitions and pre-employment processing and remain responsive to hiring managers and candidates even while traveling.  The Recruiter will also serve as back-up to other Recruiters or Staff Assistants and may be involved in miscellaneous department tasks/projects as needed.

1In this role, the Recruiter must be flexible, positive, and enthusiastic.  Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills are essential.  Must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.  The ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities and take initiative with little or no direction is critical.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • College degree or equivalent amount of work experience 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently, including overnight and some weekend trips; amount of travel varies and is dependent on recruiting initiatives
  • When applicable, may be required to work extended hours
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Proven work experience building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate exceptional attendance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States

Position Preferences

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a recruitment environment with specific experience in sourcing techniques for management and non-management positions, writing effective job descriptions, and applying strategic recruitment plans as needed
  • Experience conducting group and one-on-one interviews
  • Familiarity of an applicant tracking system such as HRsmart
  • Airport operations experience in customer service and/or ramp service
  • Working knowledge of Sabre (passenger service system)

Additional Position Details

  • Candidates must fulfill a fingerprint based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Candidates must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, in additional to clearing other airport related requirements, if applicable.
  • This position may be subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT) testing.  Federal law requires Envoy to determine a candidate's history with DOT drug and/or alcohol violations(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position.
