In this Clinic Operations Assistant role, you will perform a wide variety of duties associated with front desk, scheduling, medical records, and over-reads and billing department.  You will enjoy profound job satisfaction as you impact the care and comfort of our aging population.  We offer  the benefits of working for a Fortune 14 company - career opportunities, great benefits, paid time off, and more! 


 


8am to 5pm Monday- Friday


Primary Responsibilities:




  • Checks patients in/out


  • Collects payments

  • Prepares daily balancing report for patient payments collected

  • Schedules appointments

  • Prepares patient paperwork for radiology exam(s) ensuring appropriate orders and lab results are received in a timely manner

  • Posts payments received from patients and or insurance companies and prepares balancing report

  • Enters charges incurred by patients and prepares a balancing report

  • Follows up on outstanding claims and denied claims

  • Creates daily patient encounters (fee tickets)

  • Maintains patient demographics and insurance information using a computer database system

  • Provides customer service regarding billing and pricing issues/questions

  • Reviews and processes refunds on patient accounts with credit balances

  • Scans manual reports into PACS for permanent storage

  • Prints CDs from PACS for requests received

  • Finalizes and right faxes patient procedure reports to clinics on the same day received back from radiologist

  • Edits transcribed reports

  • Researches reports that have not been distributed within 72 hours

  • Incorporates corrections and or additions to reports requested by radiologist and clinics

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic knowledge of MSWord & Excel

  • One or more years of experience working in a radiology clinic or department or working in a medical office

  • Front office, appointment scheduling, charge entry, payment posting and insurance follow-up experience

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bilingual Spanish

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
