Material Handler 2nd - Full-time / Part-time

Pridestaff's client in Kearny Mesa is hiring for Material Handlers with additional experience

Most positions are 2nd Shift (4:00 pm-12:30am) with significant overtime during peak periods. Pay is $11.50-$12.50/hour

Coordinate and ensure the flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process, from receipt of material to shipment of product; may perform kitting, packaging, expediting, stocking and shipping functions; performs work of low complexity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:

1. Receive purchased parts and in-house materials into Stock room; apply inventory label, input into MIS system and store in applicable location.
2. Performs daily customer service functions related to the receiving and issuing of materials to and from manufacturing departments, as prescribed by company policies and procedures.
3. Support stockroom materials request by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging and issuing to internal customer.
4. Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
5. Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
6. Route and deliver kits to appropriate work centers and/or departments; complete the incomplete kits that need to be delivered.
7. Participate in physical inventories and cycle count as assigned.
8. May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
9. MACHINE OPERATOR EXPERIENCE A PLUS
10. HANDLING WAFFLE PACK MATERIAL A PLUS
11. KITTING EXPERIENCE A PLUS
