Optum Medical Partners is an internal medicine group of physicians with two clinical locations offering patients throughout Southern Nevada compassion, innovation, and high quality care. The group is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

 
The Medical Assistant will provide back office support to Optum Medical Partners, Internal Medicine Clinic.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  


  • Assists with phone calls and messages. Documents all calls and actions taken
  • Responsible for collection and documentation of patient information to include vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies, health risk screen information and other services
  • Ability to direct patients to the team member that would resolve issues prior to and after the Urology appointment. Participates in the monitoring of patients with chronic disease. Ensure patients meet post hospital visit requirements, medication refills and follow up appointments
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate care plan
  • Responsible for compliance requirements such as laboratory QC management, waive testing, maintenance of crash cart and drug count as well as other requirements dictated by clinic needs
  • Other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, assisting coworkers and floating to other areas
  • Follow standard protocols, processes and policies to include but not limited to the following: Medication Refill, Preventative Services, Managing Conditions, and Disease Case Management as signed by department head or designee

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 




  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or 3+ years of military medical experience
  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • CPR or willing to obtain upon hire 

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Records (EMR) experience
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking
