Estimator

Aerotek is currently looking for qualified Estimator candidates with Aerospace experience for a client located in Auburn.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Estimator include but are not limited to:

• Create detailed quotes and proposals defining all aspects of the statement of work including cost, exceptions & clarifications, FOB Point, shipping containers, risk, lead time, etc.
• Review customer requirements, specifications, & drawings.
• Develop labor costs using estimated setup & run times for manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Obtain processing quotes (Heat Treat, Finishing, outside manufacturing, etc…) from approved suppliers.
• Develop nonrecurring costs such as programming & tooling.
• Track quotes through completion to meet the customer's due date.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years recent experience in aerospace manufacturing planning or estimating in an aerospace machine shop or job shop.
• Manufacturing knowledge and basic operation principles to build parts using 3 & 4 Axis CNC Milling, programming, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
• Team-player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Quality oriented with a hands-on, "do it right the first" time personality.
• Experience with production planning software.
• Intermediate skills with MS Excel & MS Outlook.

Educational Requirements:

• AA Degree preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
• Read, write, speaks and understands English fluently.
