Primary Responsibilities:



  • Working with legal, information risk management, audit, and technology teams to drive electronic data security risk mitigation strategies (encryption, preservation, and planned obsolesce)

  • Collaborate with internal organization on Commercial and State Health Care Exchanges to develop audit and compliance standards and RFP/RFI responses

  • Maintaining a strong Optum IT focus by understanding the needs of the technology platform teams (Wintel, Unix, and Database) and developing productive working relationships

  • Work closely with external auditors and other oversight functions (Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, etc) to minimize risks associated with new and existing governance regulations impacting electronic data storage systems

  • Managing the execution of projects, including facilitating detailed risk assessments, detailed analysis of required versus actual controls, development of risk mitigation strategies, action plans, providing pre-implementation support, and ongoing monitoring

  • Collaborate with IAAS on IT Internal Audit timelines, Audit Scope, and Remediation

  • Provide support to IT Internal Audit Action Plan owners

  • Displaying teamwork, integrity and leadership

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated success working as a Change Agent in a large enterprise environment

  • 5 to 7 years experience in Security, Audit, Risk Management and Compliance with data security

  • Exposure to industry leading electronic data storage architectures (SAN, NAS, NetApp's, etc)

  • Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions in a large enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and/or manage people

  • Effective and persuasive communication skills

  • Demonstrated competency in dealing with external customers, current and future

  • Creative use of all human, business, and intellectual assets to solve problems

  • Ability to recognize and apply cross-industry best practices to environment

  • Staff and Project Management

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement

  • Experience with industry controls & standards

  • NIST DISA Framework

  • HIPAA PHI Controls

  • PCI DSS Security Standards

  • Mars-E and IRS 1075

  • Must have prior audit/compliance work experience with following controls and standards:

    • NIST DISA Framework

    • HIPAA PHI Controls

    • PCI DSS Security Standards

    • MARS-E IRS 1075 Security
