Direct Support Professional
REM Hennepin is seeking both full-time and part-time Direct Support Professionals, starting at 10.71 an hour, to provide services within our medically fragile programs located throughout Hennepin County including Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. Description
By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide assistance to individuals with complex medical conditions in a community-based setting. Additional responsibilities may be providing assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal cares. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in their community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
QualificationsRequirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- Previous experience is not necessary
