Due to growth and development of new program models, REM Minnesota is hiring a Reintegration Specialist to be a part of the REM Minnesota Statewide Development Team to assist regions with new program set up. This position will report to the Director of Reintegration Services. This position is externally funded and is responsible to take the lead with opening new programs to meet the needs of individuals requiring services.

The Reintegration Specialist will support the regions within REM Minnesota with opening new programs in line with the quality services we provide. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, taking the lead in opening new programs including: reviewing referrals, meeting individuals and creating person centered plans, determining level of service needed, securing housing, furnishing the site, licensing, creating staffing pattern and budget, program planning, completing behavior assessments, training staff, and overseeing the program for a period of time. This position will require travel and may include working out of the regional offices within REM Minnesota.

Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully opening new programs
  • Three to six years of related experience with significant management experience in the human services industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state regulations
  • Skilled in written and oral communication, community relations and service development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior management principles, program development and monitoring techniques
  • Demonstrated ability in areas of leadership, program operation, and fiscal management
  • Eligible as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Department of Human Services, and the Company’s Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets driving record requirements as defined by the Company
