Overview:

Aerotek's client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The client works on both DOD/Government and Commercial products. It is a collborative environment where engineers develop new innovative solutions.

The software engineer will be responsible for developing security products while working in Agile development process. Qualified candidates will participate in the full software engineering life cycle development process. The software engineer is expected to be "mobile" in and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Software Engineering in C++ and Java on mobile and other platforms

* Monitor software builds and creation of installation kits per product release schedules

* Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system issues

* Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and participate in reviews

* Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections

* Provide input to establish and improve processes and procedures

* Escalate issues to management as appropriate

* Participate in design and code reviews with other developers

* Ability to work independently and within a team

Qualificaitons:

* 2-5 years of experience in C/C++ (Preferred), Java, Python and shell scripting

* Knowledge of the SDLC

* Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems is required

* Experience with encryption technology and cyber security is preferred

* A Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is preferred. Internships will be considered.
