Transport Driver - Warehouse Distribution - IN STATE - Home after every shift!
The Transport Driver is responsible for providing unfailing support to Sales and Operations by assuring that the Distribution Centers always have the merchandise to support the Company’s ability to meet or exceed our customers’ needs.

Salary Information
This position is paid per mile.
Average annual salary for this role is in the mid 40K per year.

Sign-On Bonus Pay Out Schedule
$5,000 sign-on bonus (less, of course, all applicable tax withholding)
Payable on the following schedule:
$2,500 upon successful completion of the probationary period (90 days)
$1,250 at the six-month mark
$1,250 after the employee’s one-year anniversary
Eligibility for any of the bonus payments will be contingent upon maintenance of a safe driving record.

Schedule and Shift
This is an afternoon 2nd shift position.
The exact hours may vary depending on the day, however the shift typically starts between 2:00—3:00pm until the in state route is complete.
Must be available to work on weekends and as business needs require.
Full-Time averaging 40 hours per week.

Position Responsibilities

1. Perform routine vehicle inspection and operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Operate vehicle in the delivery of full Dr Pepper Snapple Group brands and picks up empty product transport containers or pallets in assigned warehouses.
3. Maintain DOT time log and other required transport documentation.
4. Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.
5. Be vigilant in assuring safety as well as the cost-efficient maintenance and operation of Company vehicles by: performing daily vehicle inspections and address any concerns immediately, maintaining immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc., training all new employees in safety procedures and preventative maintenance.
6. Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.
7. Exhibit thorough communication with the dispatch team and Transport manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)
