The Senior Recruiter / Sr. Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the Stores and Distribution Centers through effect talent acquisition strategies for leadership positions. This position must leverage sourcing methods and drive best-in-class talent acquisition practices and processes. In addition, this professional will interface collaboratively with the Regional Directors and Vice Presidents for Stores and Distribution operations. This position will also partner closely with the Regional HR and hiring managers. This role will also be responsible for various recruitment projects. Project management experience is required.

Essential Functions

  • Develops, implements and executes recruitment strategies for store & DC leadership positions (exempt and non-exempt)
    • Identifies patterns and trends related to talent acquisition needs and appropriate talent acquisition solutions
    • Partners collaboratively with Field/DC Leadership to fulfill talent needs both internally and externally
    • Develops effective partnerships with hiring managers at all levels that will enable a full understanding of their business and the specific requirements of their positions
    • Proactively demonstrates leadership with hiring managers in developing project strategy
    • Actively engages with HR leadership to participate in strategic talent planning
    • Attracts, screens, and interviews qualified candidates
  • Handles all aspects of the external recruitment process
  • Provides recruitment strategy support to Field/DC teams in driving applicant flow and leveraging company recruitment tools
  • Supports all Diversity and Inclusion strategies related to talent acquisition
  • Builds partnerships and collaborates with HR Team Members assisting or leading the drive for talent in specialized programs: i.e. University Relations, Leadership Pipeline, etc.
  • Ensures that recruitment strategies are timely and cost effective
  • Responsible for providing guidance and training to local leadership on external recruitment strategies
  • Ensures the integrity of the recruitment process is maintained as well as adherence to Sprouts Staffing Guidelines
  • Manages candidate expectations during the entire recruitment and selection process to ensure the Sprouts brand remains positive in the eyes of candidates, the community and our customers
  • Proactively uses different resources for data mining and recruitment, along with advertising, career fairs, open houses, interviews, tele/video conferencing and networking with professional organizations and associations to increase the applicant pool
  • Engages in direct recruiting where needed for remote and hard to fill positions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related field preferred with 5-7+ years recruiting/talent acquisition experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Highly proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High degree of creativity and ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong working relationships

  • Extensive travel within region (up to 50%)
  • Travel to/from meetings and to various locations
  • Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand and eye movement
  • Standing continuously for 3 hours, for a total of up to 8 hours, is expected to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must vertically/horizontally transfer boxes weighing up to 50 lbs., from 5” to 34”, for a distance up to 5 feet for up to 25 hours/week without mechanical assistance
  • Must maintain a current valid driver license, an acceptable driving record, and current insurance required by state law
  • Must meet company insurability requirements
