Provides “World Class” Member Service by surprising and delighting our members every day. Processes all layaway transactions in a fast efficient manner.
• Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority
• Processes all layaway transactions in a fast efficient manner
• Communicates daily with the management team in the processing of Return to Shelf (RTS) reports in an effort to reduce seasonal shrink
• Possesses knowledge of all areas of the store including specific locations of merchandise
• Ensures that Return to Shelf (RTS) merchandise is processed and returned to sales floor Attach labels to the RTS report for Loss Prevention Manager to review
• Adheres to policies in the processing of check and credit card transactions
• Strong understanding of all register functions including how to process all transactions and forms of tender
• Affixes labels to merchandise or packages to ensure customer satisfaction
• Processes refunded merchandise immediately to maintain accurate integrity and shrink opportunities
• Promotes the use of our credit card, Smart Plans, and add-on sales
• Possesses knowledge of the store, services, and locations of merchandise
• Ensures that department personnel pick up high-ticketed merchandise immediately
• Displays strong skill sets in use of the Remote Maintenance Unit (RMU)
• Follows corporate guidelines relating to Merchandise Claims & Control (MCC), Known-Loss Merchandise, and open/empty packages
• Makes eye contact, smiles and greets all customers that come within ten feet of associate
• Engages in friendly conversation with customers to build customer relationships
• Assists in handling and resolving customer issues and complaints If you can not help the customer, find someone who can
• Demonstrates “Take customer to the merchandise” policy
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Strong reading, writing, oral, and arithmetic skills
• Ability to possess a positive, friendly demeanor
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically a minimum of 20lbs
• Repetitive bending, lifting, stretching and reaching skills
• Ability to be cross-trained
• Demonstrate strong skills set in suggestive selling techniques
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
