In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. Predominantly you will be designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to our organization.


 


Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.


 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Build business process workflows using Enterprise Scheduling Software

  • Develop automation scripts that will replace manual quality control procedures

  • Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures that will interface with automation scripts

  • Monitor production scheduler and perform corrective actions on failed tasks

  • Create ad hoc queries to research data issues

  • Act as liaison with various IT departments in problem resolution

  • Assist in the performance of system administration; including file restores, file transfers, database tuning, backups and restores

  • Accountable for ensuring that problems identification and remediating efforts are appropriately documented

  • Serve as technical mentor for other members of the team


  • Review the work of others

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of Production Control/Operations experience

  • 3+ years of experience administering and scheduling processes using an Enterprise Scheduling Software (Opswise, Autosys, etc)

  • 3+ years of experience scripting in Perl or Powershell

  • 3+ years of experience working with MSSQL Server

  • Strong working operational knowledge of Windows Operating System

  • Strong working operational knowledge of File Transfer protocols

  • Solid understanding of Incident and Problem management processes

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of Opswise Automation Center

  • Knowledge of SAS
