The District Manager is responsible for overall Store Operations, Supply Chain, Merchandising and Inventory/Store Loss Prevention functions for an assigned district and/or group of retail stores. Supports achievement of overall organization, and district sales, customer service, financial, merchandising and inventory goals through people development, expense management, and sales execution by effectively developing and training leadership teams to deliver a high level of employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Manage with professionalism, integrity, honesty and knowledge sharing
  • Validate store compliance on all company policies, procedures, and deadlines including, but not limited, to the following:


- Store Evaluations

- Employee Handbook

- Safety Standards

- Issues with facilities and IT were reported timely

- Freight stocked immediately, and no later than 72 hours after receipt

- Freight stocked correctly the first time, following all merchandising directives while reducing damages

- All stocking, conditioning, and cleaning tasks performed as team with a manager, following established procedures

- Execute all corporate directives as specified
  • Complete store grade evaluations (A/B/C/D), based on the published grading system. This inspection will be done on each store visit, using observations and data/audit results compiled by Operations team.
  • Conduct assessments of GMs to ensure their stores are staffed at appropriate levels with employees meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Establish and communicate the plan to correct any issue(s) identified in the evaluation. Provide deadline, and follow up to ensure issue(s) are corrected timely.
  • D etermine the cause for store-specific problems. Find and implement immediate solutions based on established guidelines, using all tools available.
  • Review and act on audit reports produced by Store Operations Team
  • Respond/investigate customer emails and follow up with action items
  • On call 24 hours a day to address situations as they arrise with evening /weekend visits as assigned.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years old

At least 5 years of single unit (retail or restaurant) leadership experience with P&L ownership in a fast paced environment

At least 3 years of Multi-Unit retail /restaurant leadership role

At least 3 years direct responsibility & accountability for annual revenue, operating budget and P&L dollars of at least $25 million
