The greatest responsibility of the Tortilla/Prep Cook will be making our blue­corn masa tortillas from scratch including preparing the dough and pressing and grilling our tortillas. This position requires timely and quality preparation of product. In addition to making tortillas from scratch, your duties will also include rolling enchiladas; pressing and stuffing empanadas; washing, chopping and preparing vegetables; breaking down, cutting and cooking meat; weighing and mixing ingredients; and properly storing items for future use. 

• Prior tortilla preparation experience preferred but not required
• Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Ability to effectively implement the three Cs: coordination, consolidation, and communication
• Ability to work in a fast­paced environment
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize duties
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
• Ability to properly lift 25 lbs
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication with guests and coworkers
• Possess organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills
• Ability to do a great job while also having fun!
