Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise and/or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims
  • Authorize appropriate payment or refer claims to investigators for further review
  • Analyze and identify trends and provides reports as necessary
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Respond to claims appeals 
  • Supervise, monitor, track and direct day to day operations to staff
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Respond to claims appeals 
  • Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily/weekly/monthly activities of a team members 
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met, such as Quality, Adherence, Service Level 
  • Coordinates work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc 
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment 
  • Provides coaching and feedback to team members, including formal corrective action 
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for team members 
  • Provides expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers


Requirements


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of previous team lead, supervisory or managerial experience leading a team of 10 or more
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • 2+ years of experience in the development of staff/team
  • 2+ years of proven ability in providing customer service to internal and or external customers
  • Experience working with Medicaid claims  

Assets:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Claim processing experience within a healthcare office setting

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse
  • Office environment
